My husband and I have recently been evicted from our home, we were living in a garage that had been converted into a little house which was still attached to the main house. The lady living main house was not paying rent, she was later informed that she would be evicted, and that she had thirty days to pay or quite. She quit but before she left she had moved a friend in, she didn't pay either, which led to the whole house being evicted. We had been under the impression that when the main house was empty, we would have the main house.

I would like to know how are these owners/rental agencies legally allowed to charge an undetermined,unregulated application fee? How do we as renters even know if credit application is ever processed and not just milked out of our money?

I have roaches, I still don't have my rental agreement,my bathroom window is to small so it wont close. My stepfather fixed my fence.I told my landlord and he did not care.my toilet has been backed up for a month he don't care. I went to pay my rent he would not take it. All he said is I have to pay or leave.I have been in my apartment for5 months.I want to know what to do.someone help me.

I rented a home 6 months ago and signed a 1yr lease.Upon moving in it was obvious the rental company did not disclose many unlivable conditions.The heating and AC did not work at all.The ducting under the house was not connected to anything and was infested with mice roaches and black widows.There was mice feces and urine in the insulation of the stove.They painted over black mold that extended from the bathroom to the bedroom closet and thru the wood floor.The electric outlets are hanging out of the walls.The shower bathtub and sink fill with human sewage.The fireplace is broken.The refrid

Where should I start my family and I have been renting a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom for 13 years. Throughout all these years out landlord has not complied as a landlord to fix the necessary things that the apartment needed. For instance our kitchen ceiling fan was nearly falling down we called him but took him 2 years to fix.

WE MOVED OUT OF THIS CONDO, BECAUSE WE MOVED TO ANOTHER CITY, THE OWNER OF THE CONDO TOLD US THAT IN ONE MONTH SHE WAS GOING TO SEND US OUR DEPOSIT, WELL ITS BEEN MORE THAN 6 MONTHS AND HAVEN'T RECEIVED NOTHING YET. I'VE BEEN CALLING AND E-MAILING THEM, ALL I GET IT'S LIES AND SARCASM LIKE "YOU DON'T HAVE PROOF OF DEPOSIT RECEIPT" I'TS NOT ALOT OF MONEY BUT WE ARE STRUGGLING FINANCIALLY. I HAVE PROOF OF CONTRACT AND EMAIL'S I'VE SENT TO THEM AND THEIR RESPOND FROM THEM. I JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ALREADY TO GET OUR MONEY BACK. THEY ARE NOT HONEST PEOPLE

My spouse and I lived apart for two years and then reconciled. Upon leaving her rental home in immaculate condition, after four months we have yet to receive any amount of our security deposit back. Phone calls have not been returned.

WELL IN SO MANY WORDS I'D HATE TO SAY IM BEING TREATED UNFAIR BECAUSE THERE ARE SO MANY STORIES THAT ARE FAR MORE WORSE THAN MINE BUT TOGETHER ANY BAD EXPEiRIENCE IS NOT TOLERATED AND SHOULDN'T BE AS OUR RIGHTS AS AMERICANS.MY HOME HAS BEEN FORECLOSED ON AND I'M ANGRY BECAUSE I'M A STUDENT AND UNEMPLOYED I'M MARRIED WITH 3 CHILDREN THAT ARE SCHOOL AGED AND MY HUSBAND OF 13YRS. RECENTLY WAS LAID OFF SO WITH A FAMILY OF 5 ALL OUR INCOME IS FROM UNEMPLOYMENT WHICH IS NOT ENOUGH BY FAR AND NEVER ARE ABLE TO COME OUT AHEAD.
