I moved in with a guy in the police academy. A week later his mom comes over and says oh you have to leave we rented room out to someone else AFTER I already moved in. They refused my money and I wasn't able to just leave after just moving in. She did not live there. So they started to harass me. Went through my room, private stuff and locking me out of house. They went and tried to force me to sign bogus documents and tried to file a frivolous lawsuit. I had every legal right to be there but because it was so bad I had to flee as soon as possible.


I moved into the complex four years ago, after receiving a Housing Choice Voucher. The apartment was not painted nor was the carpet cleaned. However, the complex was friendly. Last year, the on-site manager, who had managed the complex for 15 years, was suddenly replaced by a property management company. We immediately began getting notices on our doors warning us of fines for littering, loitering and other rule infractions. I also received a notice saying I owed $15 for rent. I asked for and received a print out of the ledger and racked my brain trying to figure out how I owed $15.


We moved into our unit in march 2012 the owner recently sold the apartments in April 2015 so I guess we aren't on a lease the landlord is charging everyone different rent my rent went up 100$ so in April the new landlord took our rent and a couple days later said oh I need to do repairs for which we have to stay elsewhere becaise of mold problems and he was going to put carpet in the spare bedroom he didn't want to give me storage fees or rehoming fees he just wasn't going to charge us rent..in may he told us either move out or let us do the repairs said we have no renters rights because we

more than a year ago when my water&power were disconnected due to non payment
Disconnected 08-00-00 anyways i tried calling my landlord about the fact that even tho it was a breach of.contract on his behalf confirming that the lease stated Owner or landlord is responsible for water, sewer, trash and landscaping


i just recently had my home burn on monday 6-15-15 due to the slumlord that i have/had. he told me from the day that i was going to move in on sep 1 2014 that there were some issues with the home including electrical problems, we continuesly told owner Sonny Wing Chan that we needed to have this issue fixed and he kepted saying he would send someone out but never did, unfortunatley i never called code enforcement, because i was scared of getting kicked out with 7 children.


I spoke to Sabrina today one of the housing counselors and she told me to share my story. I really need it published I need to draw attention as I am sure there are more people like me.

Gasligting /TI - tactics by surround neighbors owners friends were hospital nurses and military/ break in non forceable lead to landlords. my personal belonging were ruin /urinated human fecies on . appliances were marked walls and tearing of clothes and endless threats my car was tampered marks keyed and key picked which lead to deflated tires engines problems and break issues


My self and my children lived here at 3819 East ave for 13 years, We have had the same exact thing happen to us in years past with the landlord trying to give us a 90 days notice to terminate our lease. Reason because we complained over and over regarding the neighbors and the loud music that invades my apartment and children screaming by my door. We wrote a letter of complaint several times regarding this to no avail.


After a small difference of opinion the landlord & tenant declared I must immediately vacate with what I can carry. He has stolen property worth $2500+ in addition he has kept my deposit thus far. No rent agreement copy was provided. No rent receipts although I asked consistently for them and even provided prefigured templates ones for his verification and endorsement.
