On May 14, 2015 I contacted the Better Business Bureau for help with a concern about late fees that the property management company I pay rent to charged me. After the BBB contacted the Management, the company retaliated against me and served my 84 year mother, my daughter and me with a 60 day notice on May 19, 2015 to move out by July 18, 2015. They stated to the BBB that I have registered excessive maintenance requests I believed that I was within my legal rights to inquire with the BBB and my obligation to let the company know of impinge nance issues but it seems that I am not. So now I have to move.
I need your help to get more time to move. My mother has a heart condition and needs accommodations. I am excellent tenant and In over 20 years as a renter, I have never paid my rent late. I have outstanding credit and I am employed full time. I do not qualify for any low income programs, but even on my salary as l a single person supporting three people solely on my income, it is harder and takes longer to find affordable housing for my family.
