I feel I have a landmark case if assisted. I believe my first amendment rights my civil rights were violated and my right to peaceful domain. Briefly I filed a TRO against the grandson of the property manager and the son of the bookkeeper. They are not the owner. They begged me to go to a stipulation instead of formal TRO because he had done nothing further and they wanted to be sure it was not on his permanent record. Out of kindness I agreed after asking many times of their lawyer to assure me there would be no further issues or action against me in retaliation.

As an Oakland native, I’m especially fond of the Bay Area, which is why I’ve been living in the same in-law unit in the Glenview district of Oakland since 1993 – twenty-one years and no regrets! Yet a less than a year ago I was served a 60-day notice to vacate the in-law unit I had been renteing, the byproduct of a loophole in Oakland’s housing laws: Three units or fewer with owner living onsite = no rent control (if owner lives off-site, then rent control is in effect).

Everyone in my rent-stabilized building in Los Feliz (Los Angeles) was served Ellis Act eviction notices on January 8, 2015.

June 06 2014 I started becoming weak,trouble breathing at times {1st episode 7.5 weeks long & high steroids were required}I had in Feb & March had biopsies from my mouth confirm,Severe ulcerative lichen planus}.Over all of the past year our Sierra Apts Corp. and we ask to have recently Feb 2015 the owner of the Corp. notified to help us out of our lease,without penalties and to be month to month until husband is working & off of FMLA as all sick leave,& vacation had been exausted.

After a small difference of opinion the landlord & tenant declared I must immediately vacate with what I can carry. He has stolen property worth $2500+ in addition he has kept my deposit thus far. No rent agreement copy was provided. No rent receipts although I asked consistently for them and even provided prefigured templates ones for his verification and endorsement.

PROPERTY OWNERS AND THE RICH HAVE BUILT EXTENSIVE WEALTH DURING THE PAST 20 YEARS.. WHILE THE POOR AND MIDDLE CLASS HAVE BEEN NEGLECTED BY THE TOP AND UNDERMINED FROM THE BOTTOM !!!!!!

SPREAD THE WORD TO CONNECT WITH STATE AND NATIONAL LEADERS INCLUDING LAW MAKERS AND TENANT ADVOCATES TO CHANGE THIS UNDERMINING AND HARMFUL LAW.

THIS LAW IS A TRUE SYMBOL OF GREED, SELFISHNESS, INEQUALITY, UNFAIRNESS AND WHAT IS WRONG WITH OUR STATE AND COUNTRY !!!!!

I'm not sure what to put here. We moved into our new home with good intentions. We have always been good Tenants. Every home we have lived in, we have made better than we left it. As a Contractor, i have always made repairs, improvements, and upgrades to the home we have stayed, often at our own expense. What can i say, our Landlords have loves us. But with current Housing market, many have fallen to foreclosure and other problems. Why we have never bought a home i don't know. We spent 6 years in our last 2 bedroom home, but realized we needed something larger.

My name is Ilene mother of two children, daughter 4, son 6, my spouse and my service dog. My current situation/status as of 02/20/2015, Homeless! After 5 long years of renting from a large apartment complex owned by a very large corporation, my family and I spent the holidays packing. In august of 2012 I had moved from one side of Coralaire Apts., to a larger 2 bd apt., in the same complex. I had noticed off the back that something just wasn't right, the smell, the discoloration of areas around and under kitchen sinks and certain walls.

OUT OF THE BLUE I GOT A EVICTION NOTES & HE TOLD ME THAT ITS BECAUSE I SMOKE POT & CANT I QUIT? IS WHAT HE SAID I TOLD HIM THAT I HAVE THE CARD THAT MAKES ME LEGAL & HE CASHED THE CHECK & THE NEXT THING HE SENT ME 3 LETTERS 4 TIME SO WE ARE MOVING BUT THEY CAME & TOLD ME THAT THERE IS FREE MONEY OUT THERE FOR PEOPLE LIKE YOU! & THIS IS THE OWNERS TELLING ME THIS! HERE IN CA,I GUESS THATS LEGAL!
